We drove to Yorktown to see Jeff's parents for the weekend.  The Virginia Living Museum in Newport News, Virginia included a bee hive that the kids loved.  Left: the entrance to the bee hive was outside and the bees traveled down a clear tube.  Center: close up.  Right: Ainsley looks at the bee hive, which didn't show up well in the photo.

The museum also had animals, reptiles, fish, and crustaceans found in the state.

Later the same day, Grandpa played the keyboard while the kids danced and marched around the house.  Ainsley preferred to stand on the ladder to the pool than swimming in it.  Ryan is testing the water and finding it was colder than he expected.

    Stories before bedtime.

The following weekend, Ryan spent the weekend with Grandma and Grandpa.  He had a great time!  On the way back, he saw many of the planes Grandpa flies at the Richmond airport.  The white plane with blue and yellow stripes is the same one Ryan rode in May 2002.
