    December 2000 Previous  Next

We joined Betsi's side of the family for an early Christmas dinner on the 17th.  From left to right in the back row are Beth, Dad, Carter, Karen, Jon, Betsi and Jeff.  The kids in the front row are Shannon, Braden, and Ryan.

Jeff's parent's, with Grandma White, shared an early Christmas with us on Friday afternoon, December 22nd.  Ryan's favorite two toys were an Ernie flashlight (left) and a fire truck (right).  He didn't let go of these all day.

Jeff's Dad helped fix the train that circled the Christmas tree.  Ryan loved it and learned not to to touch the train every time it went by.

Here's Ryan walking down the stairs as fast as his little legs would take him to see what Santa had brought the night before.

You can see the low resolution video (0.9MB) or high resolution video (1.3MB).

We learned two things as parents this year.  The first is not to give an exciting toy in the beginning of the present opening.  Ryan loved to play with his fire rescue Hummer (left) so much that he didn't want to open any more presents until after lunch.  The second thing we learned is the toys that require assembly need to be assembled before Christmas morning.  He had a hard time being patient as Dad spent 15 minutes assembling his new trike (right).
