April 17-19, Friday - Sunday
Ryan and Jeff attend their first Boy Scout camping trip to Sky Meadows
State Park in Virginia. We spent the last three weekends buying
gear and clothing which turned out to be well worth the investment. We
were comfortable. The Boy Scouts teach the boys skills, leadership
and independence from their parents. The boys were divided into
two patrols. Each patrol planned, purchased, cooked and ate their
own meals. They also set up their own tents separate from the parents. The
separation was harder on Jeff than Ryan, but Ryan did quite well. There
were other scouts and adults who could help if he needed it. See more

April 18, Saturday

Ainsley passed the swim test and will join
the local swim team next week. Update: The summer season has
203 swimmers and starts the end of May. |
April 25, Saturday
Ainsley's second game of the season went from a month of rain in
the 60s to hot and sunny near 90. Everyone hasn't adjusted for
the heat change yet, but there were several goals on both fields by both
teams. See more
