Baci is Shadow's brother from the same litter and lives with a family
in our neighborhood. The two of them are like two peas in a pod. They
get along so well that we would like to keep Baci (Italian for "kisses")
for ourselves. I took the dogs off of their leashes in the back
yard to let them burn off some energy. The kids used to run faster
than they could two months ago, but not any more. They are fast. I
took about 80 photos with a fast shutter speed and many of the photos
still came out blurry. I suspect the autofocus can't focus fast
enough on their fur. It must seem like a fuzzy blur when they are
walking and an impossible blur when they run. See more

Ainsley takes Shadow for a ride in the wagon. Shadow didn't seem
to mind.

Ryan keeps an eye on Ainsley before blowing out his
candles on his ninth birthday. Ryan's friends Ryan, Zack, Andrew
and Alfio and his cousins, Tyler and Cody, were able to make it. We
saw the movie Ratatouille and
came back home for burgers and dogs on the grill. See
