Ainsley received her first trophy and is quite proud.  See more photos.

Bob and Barbara invited some friends over for a gingerbread house making contest.  We all started with the same kit and the kids played downstairs while the parents worked on their masterpieces. After an hour, the kids picked the winners.  Let's just say our house was in the top 7 out of 7 houses.  Above is our before and after.  See more photos of more creatively designed houses.

We had Christmas Eve dinner at our house with Betsi's Mom, Fred, Tom and Page.  The kids later left drawings and paintings for Santa along with milk and cookies by the fireplace.  We spent the next morning opening presents at our house and drove to Jeff's parent's house for a Christmas dinner there.  See more photos.

Zack and Ryan helped Ainsley bake a cake in her new Easy Bake Oven.  After 45 minutes of effort, all of us received one bite of crunchy cake.  Yummy?

Ryan shows off one of his transformers he received as a Christmas gift.

We played the "short" version of Monopoly Here and Now which took about 2.5 hours. After 45 minutes, Ryan was destined to win with three hotels, $25 million in cash, but only one set of properties.  Jeff went bankrupt first which gave Betsi the properties she needed to add a second set of hotels.  After a couple of $7 million dollar payments for landing on the orange properties, she expanded her empire and won.

These were taken about half an hour past sunset.  The sky turns blue and there is still color in the house, grass and driveway.  Thanks to Ken Rockwell for that tip.

I retook these photos the next night after I realized the lights on the bushes were turned off.  The moon was out and it was getting foggy, which gave it a different look.

Sue and Rich hosted this year's New Years Eve party.  They recently remodeled most of the main floor.  See more photos.
