Betsi's side
of the family had a family reunion over the 4th of July weekend
in Lyme, New Hampshire.

Ryan's first birthday on July 14th. The frosting always tastes best.
Ryan loves the neighborhood swimming pool. Splashing is the best part.
In August, we took a week vacation
to Nags Head, NC with Betsi's family. We all stayed in a house
on the beach, that had most of the bedrooms on the second level and
the kitchen, eating area, and family room on the third level.
It was nice to be up high to see over the sand dune to the ocean.

During our
trip, we visited the Cape Hateras light house that had just been moved
1/4 mile further inland. It was weird to see people underneath the
light house building a foundation for it (left photo).
